Mind Support Sessions
Mid and North Powys Mind offer weekly online support groups on Zoom for 11–15 year olds (Tuesdays 5pm–6pm) and 16–25 year olds (Mondays & Thursdays 6.30pm–9pm). 16–25 year olds can also benefit from 1:1 support sessions if they want to speak to someone in confidence. ChatHealth
Powys School Nursing Service are launching a new messaging service to support children and young people aged 11-18 in Powys. ChatHealth is a texting service that allows young people to text a helpline and get confidential information and support from a team of school nurses. Users can choose to access advice anonymously if they wish.
Text 07312 263 050 to talk to a school nurse. They can help with all kinds of things including: Emotional Health and Wellbeing, Bullying, Smoking, Self Harm, Alcohol, Healthy Eating, Sexual Health, Drugs, Contraception and more. It's confidential and free.

Mid and North Powys Mind offer a Youth Service for Children and Young People, from secondary school age up to 25.
They provide a safe, supportive, non-judgemental space for children and young people to talk about, explore and recognise their emotional and mental health. They want young people to feel valued, comfortable and to know that they will help them with their recovery journey through listening, talking and support. This can be through appointments on campus, which can be organised by the school, or through contacting Mid and North Powys Mind directly or at their offices in Llandrindod Wells.
Mid and North Powys Mind also organise and facilitate ‘Supported Self Help’ sessions, which can help with cognitive thinking.
As well as their school support, Mid and North Powys Mind also provide safe and supportive groups, a Youth Cafe, an online 11 to 15 group, an online 16 to 25 group and an in-person 16 to 25 group on a Thursday evening at their Wellbeing Centre.
