Success in Writing Competitions / Llwyddiant mewn Cystadlaethau Ysgrifennu

Ysgol Calon Cymru pupils have achieved notable success in both the Rotary Young Writer and Powys Library competitions.

Isabel Crowden (Intermediate Section) and Elin Williams (Senior Section) have both won the District Finals of the Rotary Young Writer Competition. The district covers much of mid and south Wales. Pupils were asked to submit entries in any form of writing on the theme 'Peace'. Their writing will now be considered in the National Finals.

Ella Lewis and Isabel Crowden were successful in the Powys Library Service World Book Day Competition, writing on the theme 'Big Dreams', winning the Welsh and English sections respectively.

Mae disgyblion Ysgol Calon Cymru wedi cael llwyddiant nodedig yng nghystadlaethau Awdur Ifanc y Rotari a Llyfrgell Powys.

Mae Isabel Crowden (Adran Canolradd) ac Elin Williams (Adran Uwch) wedi ennill Rownd Derfynol Rhanbarth Cystadleuaeth Awdur Ifanc y Rotari. Mae'r ardal yn cynnwys llawer o ganolbarth a de Cymru. Gofynnwyd i'r disgyblion gyflwyno ceisiadau mewn unrhyw ffurf o ysgrifennu ar y thema 'Heddwch'. Bydd eu hysgrifennu nawr yn cael ei ystyried yn y Rowndiau Terfynol Cenedlaethol.

Bu Ella Lewis ac Isabel Crowden yn llwyddiannus yng Nghystadleuaeth Diwrnod y Llyfr Gwasanaeth Llyfrgelloedd Powys, gan ysgrifennu ar y thema 'Breuddwydion Mawr', gan ennill yr adrannau Cymraeg a Saesneg yn ôl eu trefn.
