Only 11 days left to register for the stage and cooking competitions in the 2022 Eisteddfod
Perhaps you’ve heard – 2022 is a very special year for the Urdd, as we celebrate the organisation’s centenary! This is a great opportunity for children and young people to be a part of our history. Why not compete in the Eisteddfod this year to celebrate with us?
The Urdd National Eisteddfod is a week-long celebration of the Welsh language, culture, and wealth of young talent we have here in Wales.
There are all sorts of categories that you can compete in in the Welsh learner’s category, ranging from Welsh recitation, singing, dancing and many more competitions.

Efallai eich bod chi wedi clywed – mae 2022 yn flwyddyn arbennig iawn i’r Urdd, gan y byddwn yn dathlu canmlwyddiant y mudiad! Dyma gyfle i blant a phobl ifanc i fod yn rhan o hanes Cymru. Beth am gystadlu yn Eisteddfod yr urdd eleni i ddathlu gyda ni?
Mae Eisteddfod Genedlaethol yr Urdd yn ddathliad wythnos o hyd o’r iaith Gymraeg, ei diwylliant, a’r cyfoeth o dalent ifanc sydd gennym yma yng Nghymru.

The date for our area Eisteddfods are:
Eisteddfod Sir Cynradd + Dawns: 26/03/2022– Ysgol y Bannau
Eisteddfod Sir Uwchradd: 23/03/2022 – Strand Hall Llanfair ym Muallt
All entries must be made on-line. The closing date for the entry is Monday the 14th of February. There is 72 hours after this date to check and make sure everything is completed correctly. Registration is open now: Competing | Urdd Gobaith Cymru
Please Note: new since 2019 if the Urdd has not received the own choice pieces within the week after the closing date, the competitor’s name will be deleted. If they wish to compete they will be treated as a late registration and an administration fee of £25 will be applicable.
Every competitor has a responsibility to obtain the required permission to perform any own-choice songs at the Urdd Eisteddfod. These include action song compilations, songs from the musicals or instrumental copies. Failure to comply to these guidelines may lead to disqualification from the Eisteddfod. Look on page 10 of the syllabus for all the information.

Dyddiad cau i gofrestru ar-lein yn 2022 yw Dydd Llun, 14 Chwefror. Mi fydd cyfnod gwirio o 72 awr wedi’r dyddiad yma. Mae’ system gofrestru ar agor yn barod: Cystadlu | Urdd Gobaith Cymru
Sylwer: Newydd ers 2019 os nad yw’r copïau hunan-ddewisiad wedi cyrraedd yr Urdd wythnos wedi’r dyddiad cau, fe fydd yr Urdd yn dileu enw’r cystadleuydd o’r rhestr. Fe fyddwn yn delio gyda’r sefyllfa ar ôl hynny fel achos o Gofrestru Hwyr, sef taliad o ffi weinyddol o £25:00 os ydynt eisiau cystadlu.
Cyfrifoldeb y cystadleuydd yw sicrhau bod pob caniatâd hawlfraint briodol wedi ei gasglu ar gyfer cynnwys unrhyw ddarnau hunan-ddewisiad o fewn y perfformiad yn Eisteddfod yr Urdd. Gall hyn gynnwys caneuon actol, caneuon allan o sioe gerdd neu gerddoriaeth offerynnol. Gall methu a chyflwyno tystiolaeth o'r caniatâd priodol arwain at gael eich diarddel o'r gystadleuaeth. Arts and Crafts for the Eisteddfod
Theme: Summit to Shore
Why not compete in our Arts and Crafts competition for the Eisteddfod this year? All the syllabus and guidelines are available in the attachment.
To enter a piece you must do this online by Tuesday the 5th of April 2022.
This year the competition will be slightly different. All judging for the arts and crafts competition will be done online. Each competitor will be expected to use their “Porth” log in. Either their personal “Porth” log in (if they are registering their own pieces) or through their branch’s log in (if your secretary is registering on behalf of a competitor).
More information regarding the arts and crafts competition will be sent to you at the start of April.
Celf a Chrefft
Thema: Mor a Mynydd
Beth am gystadlu yng nghystadleuaeth Celf a Chrefft eleni? Ceir rhestr cystadlaethau a rheolau llawn yn y rhestr testunau.
Y dyddiad cau ar gyfer cofrestri yw Dydd Mawrth y 5ed o Ebrill 2022.
Yn wahanol i’r arfer, bydd holl broses o feirniadu gwaith CDT ar lefel rhanbarthol yn digwydd yn rhithiol. Bydd disgwyl i bob cystadleuydd cofrestru i gystadlu ar-lein gan ddefnyddio eu cyfrif Porth personol (os yn cofrestru gwaith eu hunain) neu drwy gyfrif Porth y gangen (os oes ysgrifennydd cangen yn cofrestru’r gwaith ar ran y cystadleuydd).
Mi fyddwch chi’n derbyn mwy o wybodaeth ynglŷn ar celf a chrefft ar ddechrau mis Ebrill.
Cogurdd-Urdd Cooking Competition

You will need to register online by the 14th of February to compete. The regional competition is on Wednesday the 6th of April.

Cogurdd Cystadleuaeth Coginio'r Urdd
