Self-Harm Awareness Day / Diwrnod Ymwybyddiaeth Hunan-Niwed

Today is Self-Harm Awareness Day, a day that challenges the stigma around self-harm that stops young people looking for help.

The following webpage from Young Minds contains important information for both young people and their parents and carers, and also highlights ways in which you can get involved in this day of awareness: www.youngminds.org.uk/get-involved/campaign-with-us/success-stories/self-harm-awareness-day

In addition to this webpage, we are sharing this resource on ‘Alternatives to Self-Harm and Distraction Techniques’. This PDF download also includes a list of websites and helplines that can offer support if you need it.

Heddiw yw Diwrnod Ymwybyddiaeth Hunan-Niwed, diwrnod sy'n herio'r stigma o amgylch hunan-niweidio sy'n atal pobl ifanc rhag chwilio am help.

Mae'r dudalen we ganlynol gan Young Minds yn cynnwys gwybodaeth bwysig i bobl ifanc a'u rhieni a'u gofalwyr, ac mae hefyd yn tynnu sylw at ffyrdd y gallwch chi gymryd rhan yn y diwrnod hwn o ymwybyddiaeth: www.youngminds.org.uk/get-involved/campaign-with-us/success-stories/self-harm-awareness-day

Yn ogystal â’r dudalen we hon, rydym yn rhannu’r adnodd hwn ar ‘Dewisiadau Amgen i Dechnegau Hunan-Niwed a Thynnu sylw’. Mae'r dadlwythiad PDF hwn hefyd yn cynnwys rhestr o wefannau a llinellau cymorth a all gynnig cefnogaeth os bydd ei angen arnoch.

Remember: if you’re self-harming or thinking about self-harm, it’s okay to talk about how you’re feeling and to look for help.

Cofiwch: os ydych chi'n hunan-niweidio neu'n meddwl am hunan-niweidio, mae'n iawn siarad am sut rydych chi'n teimlo ac i chwilio am help.
