Tackling Period Poverty / Mynd i’r afael â Thlodi Mislif

Free period products now available to order online

As of this month girls and women of all ages living in Powys are able to request free period product packs to their homes.

Thanks to Welsh Government funding Powys County Council are offering a free home delivery service of eco friendly period products from social enterprise, Hey Girls. This is in addition to the period products already available in Powys schools, youth groups and food banks.

This is part of the efforts locally and nationally to tackle period poverty in communities and to promote period dignity across Wales. The council received funding from the Welsh Government to address period poverty in Powys communities.

In order to receive free period products sent direct to your home, visit www.powys.gov.uk/freeperiodproducts. Individuals can complete the online form up to three times before the 31st March 2022.

 A reminder to school pupils that period products are available to pupils and can be accessed via the school office or designated staff member in all schools. Archebu cynnyrch mislif am ddim ar-lein

Fel rhan o’r mis hwn, mae merched a gwragedd o bob oedran sy’n byw ym Mhowys yn gallu gofyn am becynnau cynnyrch mislif am ddim i’w cartrefi.

Diolch i arian oddi wrth Lywodraeth Cymru, mae Cyngor Sir Powys yn cynnig gwasanaeth dosbarthu am ddim i’r cartref o gynnyrch mislif, eco-gyfeillgar a weithredir gan y fenter gymdeithasol, Hey Girls. Mae hyn yn ychwanegol at y cynnyrch mislif sydd eisoes ar gael o fewn ysgolion, grwpiau ieuenctid a banciau bwyd Powys.

Mae hyn yn rhan o’r ymdrechion yn lleol ac yn genedlaethol i fynd i’r afael â thlodi mislif o fewn cymunedau ac i hyrwyddo urddas mislif ar draws Cymru. Mae’r cyngor wedi derbyn arian oddi wrth Lywodraeth Cymru i fynd i’r afael â thlodi mislif o fewn cymunedau Powys.

Er mwyn derbyn cynnyrch mislif am ddim a anfonir yn uniongyrchol i’ch cartref, edrychwch ar https://cy.powys.gov.uk/cynhyrchionmislifamddi. Gall unigolion lenwi’r ffurflen ar-lein hyd at dair gwaith cyn y 31 Mawrth 2022.
