Guidance on Live Streaming / Canllawiau ar Ffrydio Byw

As Welsh Government have updated their guidance on live streaming, and as we are always learning more about best practice on blended learning and live streaming, we have reviewed and updated our live streaming protocols.  You can find our most up to date protocols on the school website, here. 

 Please note the following points:

  • This is an update to the consent that parents and learners signed initially.

  • You do not have to give consent again as a result of this.

  • However, you may withdraw consent should you wish.

  • You are giving consent for your child to be recorded in a live streamed session, not for them to attend a live streamed session. This is because all learners are entitled to received our full education provision, whether they consent to be recorded or not.

  • Pupils who do not wish to be recorded, or who have not given GDPR consent for their image to be used may still attend live streamed sessions, but must turn off their camera and microphone.

  • As the protocols explain, recordings of sessions will be kept for at least the duration of the academic year or the length of the qualification. During times of closure, they can be used to allow learners who are unable to attend a livestreamed session for any reason to keep up to date with their learning.

 Sylwch ar y pwyntiau canlynol: 

  • Dyma ddiweddariad i'r caniatâd a lofnododd rhieni a dysgwyr o’r blaen.

  • Nid oes rhaid i chi roi caniatâd eto o ganlyniad i hyn.

  • Fodd bynnag, gallwch dynnu eich caniatâd os dymunwch.

  • Rydych chi’n rhoi caniatâd i'ch plentyn gael ei recordio mewn sesiwn ffrydio byw, nid iddynt fynychu sesiwn ffrydio byw. Mae hyn oherwydd bod gan bob dysgwr hawl i dderbyn ein darpariaeth addysg lawn, p'un a yw'n cydsynio i gael ei recordio ai peidio.

  • Gall disgyblion nad ydynt am gael eu recordio, neu nad ydynt wedi rhoi caniatâd GDPR i'w delwedd gael ei defnyddio barhau i fynychu sesiynau ffrydio byw, ond rhaid iddynt ddiffodd eu camera a'u meicroffon.

  • Fel mae'r protocolau'n egluro, cedwir recordiadau o sesiynau am o leiaf hyd y flwyddyn academaidd neu hyd y cymhwyster. Yn ystod amseroedd cau, gellir eu defnyddio i ganiatáu i ddysgwyr nad ydynt yn gallu mynychu sesiwn llif byw am unrhyw reswm i gael y wybodaeth ddiweddaraf am eu dysgu.
