Blended Learning at Ysgol Calon Cymru / Dysgu Cyfunol yn Ysgol Calon Cymru

Following a successful trial of livestream teaching with our PE and English departments during the summer term, a number of staff in other curriculum areas have volunteered to teach via livestream should the school close or partially close again.

In order for livestreaming to take place, we need consent from both our learners and their parents/carers. You can find our livestreaming protocols and the online consent form by clicking on these links:

In the event of another school closure, learning will continue through a blend of livestreaming and the following approaches:

1. Work set through our new Virtual Learning Environment on Moodle. Learners will be able to find this on the school website.

2. Communication with teachers through the Microsoft Office software on Hwb. There will be timetabled sessions on Microsoft Teams, and learners can email staff on Outlook.
