Dear Parents/Carers

It gives me great pleasure to write to you as the Headteacher of Ysgol Calon Cymru and to invite you join us at one of our informal open evenings.

This is an opportunity for you to drop in and meet the Leadership Team. We would like to share our plans for Ysgol Calon Cymru with you and give you an opportunity to ask any questions that you may have in relation to the opening of our new school.

 I feel very proud and tremendously excited to be appointed Headteacher. I am passionate about working in partnership with the students, staff, governors and yourselves as the parent community to develop Ysgol Calon Cymru as an exciting, inclusive, happy and successful school.

For me, the needs of learners are always paramount in the life and decision making within a school. I think it is crucial to involve the learners and their families as partners in their education in order to build a whole school community which thrives on mutual respect and values positive relationships.

I hope that you will be able to join us on one or both evenings: this is the start of our journey, working, growing and developing together as a whole school community so that Ysgol Calon Cymru is a school which provides an all-round educational experience in which everyone can flourish.
